Welcome back to MOCA Toronto! Learn about our new exhibitions through a three-day series of public programmes and workshops that engage with the practices and techniques of exhibiting artist Jeff Wall.
There’s something for everyone this weekend: a drawing workshop in the museum for adults on Friday, a guided urban walk on Saturday, and a hands-on art-making programme for all ages on Sunday. You’ll explore the works in Jeff Wall Photographs 1984–2023 through activations all weekend long.
Drawing Workshop
Friday, October 24, 5 pm–8 pm
Explore Wall’s monumental work with this drop-in programme that offers a unique and immersive way to experience MOCA!
Chat with our Art Educators on Floor 1 for insights and interactive creative prompts. Navigate through the exhibition at your own pace, drawing as you explore contemporary photography.
Each prompt focuses on a different theme, guiding you through activities such as sketching portraits, capturing movement, or exploring landscapes through illustration. Along the way, you’ll pick up key drawing fundamentals—like hatching, shading, and techniques for illustrating form, volume, and texture—in a relaxed, hands-on way.
This programme is designed for adults. No art-making experience required, all participants are welcome from beginners to artists. Bring a friend and try something new!
Free with museum admission, no registration needed.
