Welcome to TD Community Sundays at MOCA! Enjoy free admission to the museum all day and a drop-in workshop. It’s a great chance for all ages to explore MOCA’s exhibitions together.
Drop-in Workshop: Contribute to The Museum of Lost Things
10 am–3 pm
Stop by MOCA for this special edition of TD Sunday, presented in collaboration with and in anticipation of Nuit Blanche Toronto this October.
Join contemporary artists Rhonda Weppler and Trevor Mahovsky for a drop-in watercolour activity inspired by lost but loved objects. Think of something you’ve lost, given away, or no longer have a connection to, then bring it to life through watercolour painting.
Your creation will become part of The Museum of Lost Things at Nuit Blanche 2026. Weppler and Mahovsky will transform your paintings into illuminated lanterns, which will be exhibited at Nuit Blanche and included, with credit, in a publication accompanying the exhibition.
On TD Community Sunday admission to the museum is free all day. Tickets can be obtained ahead of time or at the door. Book in advance to reserve your spot!
About the Artists
Rhonda Weppler and Trevor Mahovsky, based in New York City and Toronto respectively, have worked collaboratively since 2004. Their work has increasingly incorporated communal aspects of making, such as DIY tutorial videos and virtual crafting bees, in the context of economies of appropriation, trade, and the gift. Their recent video project Crafts Abyss was hosted by the Museum of Arts & Design, New York. Other exhibitions since 2022 include a major temporary public installation for OpenArt, Örebro; and solo exhibitions at The Esker Foundation Calgary, Susan Hobbs Gallery, Toronto; the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Arts Center at Governors Island, New York; and the Owens Art Gallery, Sackville. Their work is in collections including the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; the Vancouver Art Gallery; and the Musée d’art Contemporain de Montréal. They were awarded the 2014 Glenfiddich Prize and were the 2022 L.L. Odette Sculptors in Residence at York University, Toronto.

*There is a $50 fee per person. General Admission to the museum is included. MOCA Members at the Enthusiast level and above are eligible for workshop discounts.
Visiting Information
TD Community Sundays are always free. Visitors can book in advance to guarantee entry or drop in on the day. The last time slot for entry is 4:45 pm.
Gallery Availability
Most of the museum will be available to enjoy, although please note that some galleries may be closed due to exhibition changeover.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are not permitted in the museum. Food and beverages can be enjoyed inside the café or in the museum’s outdoor spaces.
Child Supervision
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. TD Sundays are designed for the whole family to enjoy!
