Drop-in Workshop: Magical Mobiles
What do you see when you look up?
Using cotton yarn, paper straws, wooden beads, and other natural materials, you will create hanging sculptures that represent something magical and meaningful to you. Let the patterns, shapes and symmetry you notice every day guide your artwork. We encourage you to explore and experiment as you build something only you could create.
This workshop is inspired by Bharti Kher’s Bones on Floors 1 and 3.
No registration or experience required. All materials are included and this activity is free with museum admission. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times during MOCA’s drop-in workshops.
Opening Day Schedule
1–6 pm: Museum Hours (general admission)
11–11:45 am: Bharti Kher Artist Tour
12:15–1 pm: Delcy Morelos Artist Tour
2–5 pm: All ages drop-in art-making workshop
