Join us for Art Hive at MOCA, a free, drop-in art-making programme welcoming you to stop by and create!
On Thursday, February 12, take inspiration from I Really by Sandrien ft. Kelly Mark, a part of our ongoing South Stairwell Sound Series. We invite you to reflect on how often we receive messages of “should”– from society, others, and ourselves. You’ll be asked to momentarily set aside any “I really shoulds” that might be floating around in your mind and flip the script to create compositions that look back at your accomplishments in order to look forward.
This season, graduate students from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute have created artmaking invitations responding to MOCA’s current exhibition. Each session offers a supportive space to experiment with art materials and techniques through suggested activities, opportunities to connect with fellow participants, and a chance to reflect on your creations.
As part of MOCA’s commitment to accessible programming, Art Hive is free to attend and all materials are provided. All skill levels are welcome.
Please note: Art Hives are held when MOCA is otherwise closed. During this time, only Floor 1 will be open. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
