Thinking about bringing your students or community group members to MOCA this season? Join us on Sunday, October 19 at 10 am for our Educator Preview Day.
Elementary, Secondary, and Youth Community Educators
This free event offers teachers and educators a chance to take a tour of our exhibitions, preview hands-on art activities, and explore what’s new this season. Experience what a field trip at MOCA would look like and connect with your colleagues over coffee and tea. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, create, and get inspired for your next visit!
This season at MOCA, see an exhibition from Canadian photographer Jeff Wall. These monumental photographs explore themes of the environment, social issues and contemporary culture through large cinematographic lightboxes. Make classroom connections as our tours explore not only visual art but also film, social studies, art history, and science.
MOCA invites teachers, educators and community leaders to participate in this preview. This includes individuals who teach in elementary and secondary schools, as well as those who volunteer or work for educational clubs or community groups.
Post-Secondary: College, University, and Adult Educators
This preview option offers post-secondary instructors and community educators an exclusive opportunity to experience the exhibition. The event will begin with a guided tour, then followed by a preview of MOCA’s new seminar learning programme for post-secondary groups. Connect with colleagues over coffee and consider our new educational offering for your students.
Our post-secondary learning offering encourages critical thinking, dialogue, connections to course content across disciplines. Whether you teach in a university, college, or community learning setting, this preview is a chance to see how MOCA can support your teaching and extend your course content beyond the classroom.
