Welcome to TD Community Sundays at MOCA! Enjoy free admission to the museum all day and a drop-in workshop. It’s a great chance for all ages to explore MOCA’s exhibitions together.
Drop-in Workshop: Tree Time
10 am–3pm
Connect with nature this TD Community Sunday inspired by Jeff Wall’s work, Shapes on a tree, 2014. All ages are invited to join MOCA’s Art Educators for a hands-on art-making craft drawing the rings of the tree in the photograph!
Explore the structures of a tree, how it grows and changes, then create a drawing that represents your own age in this activity that combines science and art. Learn to use oil pastels, practice counting and experiment with the textures of a tree!
TD Community Sunday is part of MOCA Community Weekend, a monthly series of activities, bringing together the community for art-making workshops, tours and events. Learn more about our family programming here.
On TD Community Sunday admission to the museum is free all day. Tickets can be obtained ahead of time or at the door. Book in advance to reserve your spot!
