Join us on Thursday, August 6 for a special edition of Art Hive at MOCA featuring a captivating presentation by Art Hives Initiative Founder and Director, Dr. Janis Timm-Bottos. See the detailed schedule below.
Presentation: Art Hives in a Polarized World
5:30–6:30 pm
What is an Art Hive? Join Dr. Janis Timm-Bottos for a presentation that dives into the theory, practice and history of Art Hives—followed by a live Q&A. Learn how this programme started over thirty years ago, how far we’ve come, and consider how we can continue to create a welcoming, inclusive space for the community to create.
This presentation launches a new series of talks held once per exhibition season, exploring museums as spaces for wellness and how art can be used as a tool for community building.
