Thinking about bringing your students or community group members to MOCA? Join us on Sunday, November 15 for our Educator Day. Teachers and educators can enjoy free admission all day and complimentary guided tours.
Free Tours
This free event offers teachers and educators a chance to take a tour of our exhibitions and explore what’s new this season. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, connect with your colleagues, and preview your next field trip to MOCA!
At 12 pm and 2 pm, join free guided tours of the exhibition, designed for teachers. In each of these conversational tours, learn more about contemporary art and explore MOCA’s current exhibitions.
First, see Bones, an exhibition by Bharti Kher, who is known internationally for her large sculptures and paintings. Spanning 15 years of her career, you’ll explore her Bindi paintings, her assemblage sculptures and her future predictions with the premiere of her 2026 edition of her Virus series. Then, experience the multisensory installation by Delcy Morelos, Ombligo. Using rope, soil and scented botanicals, you will see, smell and gently touch this artwork. Conclude your visit in MOCA’s South Stairwell with Beverly Glenn-Copeland’s music.
Throughout each tour, learn about MOCA’s field trip options, whether it’s a self-guided visit, Guided Tour or a hands-on art-making experience, don’t miss out on this exhibition season!
Registration is required for the guided tour as space is limited.
Please present your teacher ID or proof of employment in an educational setting to receive free admission. Early childhood educators, K-12 teachers, professors, and TAs are welcome. Questions? Please email learning@moca.ca.
