Join poet and TD Public Programmes and Learning Fellow Angelic Goldsky for two poetic response tours at MOCA Toronto. They will lead a creative tour followed by interactive poetic response activities inspired by Kapwani Kiwanga’s Remediation and Athena Papadopoulos’ Bones for Time.
Participants will explore each exhibition through a multi-sensory approach, studying the senses, shapes, metaphors and symbols in each artwork. Visitors will engage with what is felt, seen, heard, known and revered in the works, while connecting it back to their own lived experiences.
Tour Schedule
- 1:00–2:30 pm — Remediation: Breathing the Geometric Poetry
This tour will explore poetic form and geometry inspired by how plants live with and beyond constraints. - 3:00–4:30 pm — Bones for Time: Poetic Order & The List Poem
This tour will play with alphabetical order and list subversion.Â

Both creative tours will conclude with quiet time for individual reflection and writing followed by a sharing circle, where participants who are keen to share their work will have space to do so with no expectations.
About the Facilitator
Angelic Goldsky (they/them) is a queer, trans, community engaged artist and poet. With a focus on healing justice and 2SLGBTQQIA+ joy, they have notably produced programs at the Museum of Anthropology such as Queer Homelands, Magic: Words a Queer Poetic Offering, and Awoken Word, curated the Queer at the Root exhibition at the JCC Miles Nadal, and co-produced Augmented Reality at Buddies & Bad Times Theatre. In 2020, they were awarded Creative BC’s Interactive Fund award and co-founded The Transgender Expressions Haven, a not for profit celebrating transgender creative power through media art and performance. Angelic holds a Bachelor of Media Studies from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Arts in Arts Politics from New York University.
