All-ages drop-in workshop | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Welcome to TD Community Sundays at MOCA! Enjoy free admission to the museum all day and a drop-in workshop. It’s a great chance for all ages to explore the museum’s exhibitions together.

Drop-In Weaving Workshop
10 am–4 pm

Have you ever wondered how a woven blanket is made?

Find out by making your own in this free hands-on drop-in workshop. Using DIY looms and a mix of unique materials, you’ll twist, pull, and weave your way to a one-of-a-kind creation. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and get ready to experiment with patterns and textures.

This workshop is inspired by Justin Ming Yong’s immersive exhibition where handmade quilts have transformed the museum’s elevators and the North End Gallery into spaces of unexpected comfort. Come weave a little magic of your own!

TD Community Sunday is part of MOCA Community Weekend, a monthly series of activities, bringing together the community for art-making workshops, tours and events. Learn more about our family programming here.

On TD Community Sunday admission to the museum is free all day. Tickets can be obtained ahead of time or at the door. Book in advance to reserve your spot!
