Drop-in Activities
Paper Portals
Saturday–Sunday, May 24–25 | 10 am–5 pm
Inspired by Doors Open Toronto and this year’s theme of play, this drop-in activity invites you to draw your own interactive paper doorway. Will it open into a historic building, a secret clubhouse, or a world entirely your own? With help from MOCA’s art educators, you can even experiment with pop-up book techniques to transform your doorway into a fun 3D scene!
This free activity runs all weekend long. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Perfect for curious creators of all ages!
Muay Thai Presentation
Sunday, May 25, 2–3 pm
Set within the half-sized wrestling ring of Jessica Stockholder’s The Squared Circle: Ringing, the elite fighters of local Muay Thai gym, Fighters United, will present their Wai Kru with subsequent sparring sessions. The presentation builds on the joint themes of connection, community and gathering, nodding to the physical contact being made, as well as its avoidance.
