MOCA and Hippie Market Life present a vibrant pop-up market at Sterling Road Park, just behind the museum—filled with vintage finds, handmade goods, and locally sourced treasures. Inspired by Alex Da Corte’s playful installation Mouse Museum (Van Gogh’s Ear), part of his current exhibition Ear Worm, the market invites you to reflect on the act of collecting. Just as Da Corte transforms everyday objects, evoking memory, emotion and curiosity, this pop-up market celebrates the joy of discovering items whose histories hold personal and cultural meaning.
Looking for more? While the pop-up market takes place outside, head inside and dig a little deeper by joining a ticketed talk with Dr. Michael Prokopow as he reflects on the concepts of collecting and acquiring, and how these ideas connect to the objects we surround ourselves with. Your ticket to this talk includes admission to the museum.
Please note: general museum admission is not included with attendance at the pop-up market but can be booked separately here.
