This workshop is now sold out.

Join Certified Art Therapist Phuong Nguyen for two sessions of art therapy workshops inspired by Kapwani Kiwanga’s exhibition Remediation. In these workshops, participants will use materials found in the natural world and investigate their relationships with the land around us while exploring themes of strength, restoration and solidarity.

This group workshop will serve as a space for both inner exploration and communal support, taking place at MOCA Toronto over two weekday evenings while the museum is closed.

This art therapy workshop is a space for self expression in the art-making process, and is aimed towards folks who are racialized and/or a part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Toronto.

Please note that this programme is specifically intended for adults who are racialized and/or a part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Toronto. Allies are also welcome.

An intake form and more information on the sessions will be sent to all those who register for the programme. Participants are required to fill in and return the form to Nguyen prior to the first session.

Phuong Nguyen (she/her) is a person of diaspora. She is an artist, Certified Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist, born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Her Vietnamese-Canadian heritage informs her personal goals in contributing to Toronto’s diverse communities, and as a POC herself, Nguyen is especially invested in working with POC in her private practice and community organizations. You can book art therapy sessions with her through her website.
